Job Description

We’re seeking a Research Associate to join our Pune R&D lab. You’ll work on lab-scale optimization, purification, and functional analysis of plant-based proteins to drive our ingredient innovation.

• Execute lab-scale research to optimize isolation and purification processes for plant proteins.
• Assist in developing new processes for protein isolation, modification, and high-value by-products.
• Perform food biochemistry analyses and characterize protein functionality
• Maintain experiment documentation and results data.
• Oversee lab equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Manage inventory of chemicals and consumables.
• Ensure lab hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, or related.
• Experience: 2–4 years in R&D—especially protein, cereal/grain processing, and ingredient development.
• Technical Skills:
  • Purification of proteins for food ingredients.
  • Knowledge of downstream processing steps.
  • Hands-on biochemical analysis.
  • Strong experimental design and troubleshooting capability.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent data analysis and scientific judgment.
  • Independent and collaborative workflow planning.
  • Basic MS Office/Google Docs.
  • High integrity, adaptability, teamwork, and learning mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting.
