About the Speaker:

Dr. Yogesh Patil, MBBS, MBA — Co-founder, Biosense Technologies

Dr. Yogesh Patil is a healthcare entrepreneur and investor with expertise spanning diagnostics, MedTech innovation, and venture building. He co-founded Biosense Technologies in 2009, a pioneering MedTech company incubated at CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad, and raised over USD 4 million from marquee investors including Insitor Fund (Singapore), IIMA Ventures, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, and Deep Kalra.

Under his leadership, Biosense scaled to 200+ employees and achieved ₹100 crore in annual sales, culminating in its acquisition by Tulip Diagnostics (PerkinElmer Group). He subsequently helped advance a California-based Sickle Cell Diagnostic innovation to market, securing ICMR approval and inclusion in the National Sickle Cell Elimination Mission, with adoption across multiple states and ₹120+ crore in sales.

Dr. Patil currently advises and invests in startups and is establishing an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) to invest in startups at pre-Series A and/or Series A funding stage. He holds an MBBS from Nair Hospital, Mumbai, received training in Optical Biosensors from IIT Bombay, and an MBA from SJMSOM, IIT Bombay.
