What we learnt from UK's Innovation Ecosystem
Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) program

This month, Venture Center concluded its role as the India In-Country Partner for the Royal Academy of Engineering's Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) Global Programme, helping Indian deep-tech entrepreneurs connect with one of the world's leading innovation ecosystems.

Over the past seven months, Venture Center worked closely with the Royal Academy of Engineering to support a cohort of 12 Indian innovators, including five Venture Center-supported startups, through mentoring, commercialisation support, ecosystem learning and international networking.

Representing Venture Center during the UK Residential Programme, Dr. Manish Gore, Associate Manager – Incubation and Regulatory Services, engaged with universities, innovation agencies, investors and technology transfer organisations across the United Kingdom. His experience offered valuable insights into how deep-tech innovations are translated from the laboratory to the marketplace, while opening new opportunities for collaboration between the Indian and UK innovation ecosystems.

WeInnovate Biosolutions has won the LIF Global Pitching Competition, with co-founder Anupama Engineer presenting the company's vision before an international audience of innovators, investors and ecosystem leaders.

Led by Dr. Asmita Prabhune, Green Pyramid has been selected to receive the Green Enterprise Award from Entrepreneurs' International. The award recognises the company's entrepreneurial efforts in developing innovative solutions for a greener environment.  

Dr. B. Srinivasan Wins IDA Dental Shark Tank
Congratulations to Dr. B. Srinivasan on winning the Indian Dental Association's Dental Shark Tank. The recognition celebrates innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges in oral healthcare. The award was presented at the 3rd Maharashtra State Zonal Convention – Impact Conclave 2026 in Pune.

Powering a More Sustainable Innovation Campus
Earlier this month, Venture Center inaugurated a 45 kWp rooftop solar power plant, made possible through the generous support of the Rao Family Trust. Inaugurated by Dr. Priti Rao in the presence of Dr. Ashish Lele, the installation reflects our commitment to building a more sustainable innovation campus.

Dr. Premnath Venugopalan represented Venture Center at THSTI's SYNCHN 2026, engaging with researchers, industry leaders and innovation stakeholders to strengthen collaborations in biotechnology translation and startup innovation. 

Ecosystem Engagements: Venture Center at Food Safety Summit 2026: 
Chetna Dabi represented Venture Center at the Food Safety Summit 2026, engaging with Maharashtra FDA officials and industry leaders on regulatory challenges for medical device innovators and opportunities to strengthen support for science-based startups. 

Workshop on Strengthening Quality Systems Through ISO 13485
RIFC conducted a three-day ISO 13485:2016 Introduction & Internal Auditor Training Programme, combining expert-led sessions and practical exercises to strengthen participants' understanding of quality management systems and internal auditing.
