Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet has partnered with Startup India under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to invite applications for ENTICE 3.0 (Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge) from clean-tech innovators. Winners stand to receive up to $100,000 in technical assistance grants, real-world deployment opportunities with BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL)
Purpose
The program has two problem statements:
- Develop and demonstrate a non-lithium energy storage solution that can be deployed at distribution transformer (DT) voltage level that can operate individually or in coordinated fleets to reliably meet local peak demand.
- Develop a hyperlocal, AI-driven forecasting platform that enables DISCOMs to accurately predict net grid demand by simultaneously modeling distributed renewable energy (DRE) generation—including rooftop solar and decentralized solar assets under schemes such as PM KUSUM—alongside weather-sensitive consumption patterns, particularly cooling loads driven by rising air-conditioner penetration.
