Dr. S. Natesh, Honorary Fellow of ATREE and former Senior Advisor at DBT, is a leading figure in India's biodiversity conservation. He has championed groundbreaking biodiversity initiatives, co-founded the India Alliance fellowships, and earned the prestigious Biospectrum Lifetime Achievement Award. His profound impact on botanical science is immortalized in Aponogeton nateshii, a plant species named in his honor.
