Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering), Purdue University | MBA, INSEAD | M.S., Washington University | B.Tech, IIT-Madras
Dr. Hiran Vedam is Co-founder and CEO of Ashwatta, a venture studio building scalable companies for a sustainable industrial future from breakthrough science. She was previously a Business Fellow with the Breakthrough Energy Fellows Program, supporting early-stage climate innovations in technology de-risking, piloting, supply chain mapping, IP strategy, and startup financing.
Earlier, she served as Managing Director – Asia at Nanoholdings LLC, investing in advanced materials-based solutions for energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and water. Her experience spans the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, and India. She is also the Chief Editor of the AIM Prime Playbook: A Practical Guide to Science-Based Entrepreneurship.
