About the Speaker :
Richard Hall (Founder and CEO, Pd-m International Ltd., UK)
- Richard Hall brings over 30 years of experience in design, strategy, and innovation, supporting organisations in translating early-stage concepts into commercially successful products and services.
- Expertise includes human-centred design, design for manufacture, and design strategy across regulated and complex sectors.
- Began his career with an engineering apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce Aerospace, followed by international experience across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
- Founded Pd-m International (2005), a design, innovation, and sustainability consultancy working with funded start-ups through to global multinationals across health technologies, life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics, and biotechnology.
- Particularly experienced in navigating regulatory, intellectual property, manufacturing, and commercialisation challenges.
- Deep expertise in sustainable design, circular economy principles, life-cycle assessment, and Net Zero delivery.
- Regularly lectures on design, innovation, and sustainability.
- Holds a degree in Product Design and an MSc in Leadership; Fellow of the RSA, Chartered Manager (CMI), Design Council Expert; consultant to UKRI and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
