Industrial Product Design Intern
Job Description
- Design and develop products from concept through to functional prototype.
- Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Build, assemble, test, and refine prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, and model making.
- Collaborate with electronics engineers for product integration.
- Support product validation processes and vendor coordination.
Candidate Profile
- Qualification: B.Des./M.Des. in Industrial/Product Design or equivalent; final-year students or recent graduates welcome.
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing functional products and prototypes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Rhino or equivalent); SolidWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of product design, ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with rapid prototyping methods: 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, and model making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Portfolio showcasing product design and prototype development is preferred.
