Activities
The Pune Mentors activities currently include:
| Mentorship/ coaching program | In this flag-ship offering, Pune Mentors work one-on-one with entrepreneurs to help them plan businesses, build teams, raise funding, grow and scale up, and in general, coach the company leadership through ups and downs. Pune Mentors will share their experience and networks with entrepreneurs via longer term mentoring relationships in six-monthly installments. |
| Workshops | Pune Mentors run workshops and training programs on various themes of relevance to budding entrepreneurs and micro/small entrepreneurs. Workshops are announced at the Venture Center events listing. |
| Sounding board | The Pune Mentors meet every month at Venture Center to plan their activities as well as listen to 1 or 2 business plan pitches from entrepreneurs so as to act as sounding boards while also identifying any opportunities to assist the entrepreneurs with networks and case studies. |
How the mentoring/coaching program works?
- Interested entrepreneurs can request mentorship support via this form
- Venture Center will organize a preliminary meeting with the entrepreneur and representative mentors to better understand the business, the needs of the entrepreneur and identify an appropriate mentor in the Pune Mentors group, if there is a fit. This meeting is also used to by Venture Center to explain the Pune Mentors' Mentorship Program.
- Following this meeting the Pune Mentors will take a view on if and how they can help the entrepreneur. Venture Center will then inform the entrepreneur with a positive answer (identifying a potential mentor) or a negative answer (indicating inability to identify a suitable mentor).
- If the entrepreneur can be supported via the Pune Mentors' Mentorship Program, Venture Center enters into a simple agreement with the entrepreneur laying out the terms of engagement.
- Following this the entrepreneur and the mentor can interact regularly.
