Thematic Focus Areas: Polymer Technology<\/strong>
Within the broad area of \u201cPolymer Technology\u201d, the following themes are of special interest :
– Developing environment-friendly\/sustainable solutions
– Solutions that provide credible documentation\/reporting  of the environmental impact (esp footprint in terms of waste, carbon etc)
– Demonstrating impactful and high-visibility solutions for society  using  synthetic polymers

Preference may be given based on :<\/strong>
– Relevance to the polyurethane industry
– Capacity creation of a lasting nature of relevance to the industry

 <\/td>A1) Grants to support early stage ideas\/ pre-competitive R&D that will help generate the data for follow-on funding.  
A2) Grants to support generating key validation of the technology required before fundraising or market entry.<\/td>		B1) Support for travel\/visits\/ trade show attendance etc  for building in-depth understanding of industry needs  
B2) Other capacity development efforts<\/td><\/tr>
Mode of support<\/strong><\/td>Grant to an organization (company\/ R&D organization)<\/td>Reimbursement of costs by Venture Center against approved project and budget<\/td><\/tr>
Intended applicants<\/strong><\/td>Organization (for profit startups or non-profit organization) with a focus on R&D\/ tech innovation.<\/td>Individuals with track record\/plans to build competency\/ research programs  on  industry relevant polymer technology.<\/td><\/tr>
Who is eligible?<\/strong><\/td>– Startups \/ Company \/ LLP registered under the relevant acts in India
– R&D organizations engaging with Venture Center under TechEx.in program
(Note: Others can apply but on selection will need to formally associate with Venture Center)<\/em><\/td>		Individuals with track record\/plans to build competency\/ research programs  on  industry relevant polymer technology.  <\/td><\/tr>
Topics not eligible<\/strong><\/td>– Topics of no relevance to polymer technology
– Projects that have no element of new technology development and advancement<\/td>		 <\/td><\/tr>
Preference may be given for<\/strong><\/td>Novel and innovative ideas\/ solutions<\/td>Women professionals\/ researchersApplicants with a track record of contributions to industry projects  <\/td><\/tr>
Other requirements<\/strong><\/td>– The Applicant\/ Grantee shall be an organization.
– If Applicant is a company, the Company\/LLP should be registered under the relevant acts in India.
– Every Applicant must nominate a competent Project Leader (PL) who will take responsibility for executing the project
– PL has to be an individual (one person).
– PL is required to be at least 18 years of age as on the date of call for applications.
– Startup applicants need to meet Eligibility \/ Admissions Criteria of Venture Center for incubatee companies.<\/td>		– Applicant is required to be at least 18 years of age as on the date of call for applications.
– Applicant must be associated formally with an organization (as employee, student etc)  <\/td><\/tr>
Duration<\/strong><\/td>Maximum of 6 months extendable by 2 months after review.<\/td> <\/td><\/tr>
Indicative budget<\/strong><\/td>Flexible within overall budget typical: Rs 6-9 lakhs\/ project <\/strong><\/td>Flexible within overall budget Indicative Cap: Rs 1 lakh<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Additional Criteria<\/strong>
– The applicant should be formally associated with Venture Center for the entire duration of the project by signing up for a suitable program and\/or signing appropriate agreements:
– Startups:  One of the incubation programs
– R&D\/ academic organizations:  MoU for Partners of the TechEx.in program
– Individuals:  Ignition program of Venture Center
– The PL and Applicants should not have received another grant for the same objective and scope of the project.
– The grant cannot be used for the following heads:
– Pay\/ repay any loans\/commitments made before signing the project agreement
– Pay rent or related costs for own accommodation
– Creation of new infrastructure facility, shed etc
