{"id":17,"date":"2019-06-21T13:12:16","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T13:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.venturecenter.co.in\/csr\/bajajauto\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2019-07-01T08:55:45","modified_gmt":"2019-07-01T08:55:45","slug":"eligibility","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.venturecenter.co.in\/csr\/bajajauto\/eligibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nature of projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>The project needs to define a technology solution to a well-defined problem<\/li><li>The idea proposed should be innovative\/ novel.<\/li><li>Project should relate to converting an idea into a prototype or prove demonstrate key technical claims of the idea<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Not eligible:<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Pure software development with no IP potential<\/li><li>Pure academic research<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Technical\nsoundness &amp; do ability<\/li><li>Potential\nbusiness opportunity<\/li><li>Potential\nfor social impact<\/li><li>Team\ncapabilities &amp; background<\/li><li>Knowledge\nintensity or novelty or IP potential<\/li><li>Execution\n&amp; commercialization plan<\/li><li>Chances\nof conversion &amp; success as a startup<\/li><li>Exceptional\ncases may be considered on its merit by the committee<\/li><li>Any\nothers as decided by the committee<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applicants and Project Leaders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Every project proposal will need to identify a Project Leader and an Applicant\/ Grantee.<\/li><li>The Project Leader will be a single individual who will take responsibility for executing the project.<\/li><li>The Applicant or Grantee can be either of the following: <ul><li> Case 1: Applicant is a single individual <\/li><li> Case 2: Applicant is a nascent start-up company <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility for the Project Leader (PL):<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>PL has to be an individual (one\nperson).<\/li><li>PL is required to be at least 18\nyears of age as on the date of call for applications.<\/li><li>PL is required to be Indian\nCitizen. An Indian citizen is defined as one who is in possession of a\ngovernment approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter\u2019s id\netc. Exceptional cases of foreign nationals with potential for impact in India\nwill be considered.<\/li><li>PL has to pursue the project or\nstartup full time with no other concurrent commitments during the\nproject duration.<\/li><li>PL cannot be pursuing a long-term\nacademic\/research project (like doctoral students) with significant obligations\nduring the project duration.<\/li><li>Applicants must have completed\nbasic undergraduate training in natural sciences\/engineering\/ medicine.\nEssential qualification is PhD\/ MTech\/ BTech\/ BPharm \/MD\/ MBBS\/ BDS\/ MSc \/\nMPhil\/ M Des\/ MPH \/MBA \/ MSW and equivalents, with under\u2010 graduate training in\nScience, Medicine, Engineering. Applicants with a BSc degree with at least 1\nyear of full-time work or research experience shall also be eligible<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility of an Applicant\/ Grantee:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case 1: Applicant is a single individual<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Applicant will also be the PL<\/li><li>Applicant has to qualify under criteria for PL.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case 2: Applicant is a nascent startup company<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>The Company\/LLP should be registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956\/2013<\/li><li>The applicant can be a nascent startup company (under 5 years old at the time of announcing of a call for applications; PLC or LLP only; under 10 years old for Biotech startups).<\/li><li>At least 51% of the company  should be owned by Indian nationals (directly or indirectly). Exceptional cases will be considered on merit basis.<\/li><li>The PL should be the founder (or significant shareholder, implies more than 10%) of the applicant startup company.<\/li><li>An applicant company, in which any promoter holding more than or equal to 20% of the shares or has  a more than 20% benefit sharing arrangement or exercises considerable  control, is a copromoter of another ineligible company or a partner in another  ineligible company or LLP, then the applicant will not be eligible.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nature of projects Eligible The project needs to define a technology solution to a well-defined problem The idea proposed should be innovative\/ novel.
